The Lincolnsfields Centre Ltd
We at the The Lincolnsfields Centre Ltd are a registered children’s charity providing opportunities for children, young people and adults with or without special needs. We provide both Residential & Day visits that are both educational and fun! Trust us your children would love it here! So no matter if you are a large or small group, or someone looking down memory lane or someone who loves history – we are here to cater for all! There’s something for everyone!
Historic open days, residential centre, school visits
**Recently we have just opened The Lincolnsfields Play Zone, a soft play centre for kids to come and have fun in.
You can come down and chat to one of our many volunteers to see how your child can benefit from visiting. You can see how we make an impact to families and find out how life has changed for them within the home. Adults can also come in and reminisce with others who are around, and grab a tea or coffee and a slice of cake from the NAAFI café and listen to music from the good old times.
RESIDENTIAL TRIPS
The main purpose of the Charity is to provide group residential facilities for children and young people for school journeys, holidays and for training events. We have the capacity to accommodate up to 70 children plus staff in our purpose built “log cabin” style dormitory accommodation. In addition, we have a large dining hall, two classroom / meeting areas, a TV / games lounge, an arts & crafts room, a medical room and outdoor play areas. For parents peace of mind, the children accommodation blocks would be under adult supervision at all times.
These trips are very educational but fun at the same time. They get to learn new skills as well as learning new things that surround the environment and our history. We are based within a 16 acre Green Belt site which includes a woodland area and a pond which is perfect for environmental studies.
DAY VISITS
Let your children engage at our War programme where they can experience what life may have been like during the 1940’s. Imagine the life of a child evacuee… well your child can experience that! They can see what their lives would have been like in a fun, safe, exciting day visit. The experience is the only one of its kind in the UK!
To help get your children get excited about the visit and get into the role of an evacuee, they can do some pre-visit classroom activities such as: making their own I.D. label and Gas Mask box (we can supply the templates to booked groups).
THE LINCOLNSFIELDS PLAYZONE
The play centre was formerly known as ‘Funworld’ and based at the Lincolnsfields Children’s Centre in Bushey. To keep the charity from closing due to the Global Pandemic, and to maintain a local activity venue for children and their families, we decided to re-open the soft play centre which will now be under new management and run by the dedicated Lincolnsfields Centre team.
The centre is great place for kids to escape, and have fun and socialise with others in a safe way. We welcome children from the age of 1 (or under) to 5+, and all at amazingly low prices. We must add that you book a time for your visit to stop overcrowding and maintain Government guidelines. We look forward to seeing you!
Prices include: Adult £2, Under 1’s £2, Under 2’s £3, Under 5s £5, Overs 5s £8.50

THE 1940’S EXPERIENCE
Both adults and children are welcome to attend our 1940’s Experience which has been growing in stature and popularity since 2006. During these open days you can experience what it is like to live in the 1940’s. You can see this through a variety of means, such as: viewing objects from that time, interacting with people and visual & hands-on activities. Throughout your visit our excellent volunteers are on hand to discuss all the artefacts on show, topics of interest that may arise or indeed you may want to reminisce how growing up has changed since that time.
As a special event, on some Sundays, you can find ‘The Mustangs’ performing live music in the Airmans Bar!
We are open to the public on the last Sunday of the months between January and November and the first Sunday in December.
The opening times are: Sundays – 10.30am till 4.00pm
Prices include: Adults £5.00, Children £3.00, Seniors £3.00
