Brewer Dance Academy We are based in St Albans, and started life as ‘The Stephanie Ledger School of Dancing’, a school established in 1972 by Stephanie Ledger. The school is now run by Mrs Helen Brewer. Nearly all our Ballet classes offer live music from qualified pianists, something we believe is vital for developing musicality in young dancers. Current Classes We welcome children from age 3 upwards and we are open six days a week during term time. We run a variety of classes, Ballet and Musical Theatre/Lyrical Jazz classes, and we are happy for students to come to more than one class a week if they want to, however, classes do have limited space so always it is worth discussing your options with Mrs Brewer. We also provide classes for boys only on a Saturday morning, and on Thursday evenings Adults are very welcome to our ‘discovering repertoire’ class. Exams and Workshops All our Ballet students can choose to be entered into ‘Royal Academy of Dance’ exams. But we also like to encourage a love of dance in our students through special performance workshops. These take place regularly and are a fantastic opportunity to learn about the wider world […]
